Hi,

I’m about to do something I’ve never done before: a year recap. Wow!

Past goals

It is time to show my productive work as an artist this year!

And like a half-done school project thats worth below the minimum,

shit just feels sour.

This year, I only posted three artworks with a couple of doodles on X (formerly Twitter). Which means that I kinda failed my goal of 2024. Oops! Now, why did I do so little artworks (in my opinion!) this year? Well, it’s because I wanted to focus on school. In all honesty, I WANTED and HAD to focus on school due to how much constant work was thrown into my face! I also had a goal: succeed gracefully (not fail any classes heehee).

In fact, this paid off cuz I failed two classes!

So I failed my artistic and educational goals (shit). What can one do in such a situation?! Now one option is to kneel in defeat with comically large tears rolling from the eyes, abandon all hope and give up. Another option is to learn from your mistakes, move on and persevere with determination. I’d like to apply the second option.

Future goals

I want to be more productive on here and in real life with what I’ve learned this year, I really did learn a lot (organization, communication and preparation) and I’d like to do better than this year.

Anyways,

it just feels really hopeful when you know that you can do better y’know. It gets you excited for the future, at least for a moment. I am rereading this post and I do wonder if this recap is weird, although it doesn’t matter in the end. Much love to Newgrounds, there’s a lot of really talented and nice people on here!

You read that right folks, I am making a gosh darn fighting game.

What this fighting game will be about is simple: it’ll be about two stickfigures beating the crap out of each other!!

It’s as simple as that!!!

You know, I’ve always loved the ol flash games that had a local multiplayer type keyboard gameplay, you know when two players played with each side of the keyboard never was good at explaining gosh darnmit. Anyways I really want to create that feeling of two players playing with one keyboard.

HOWEVER I also want the game to be as accessible as possible so I’ll try to incorporate Gamepad and Mobile controls in the game teehee.

I have actually started working on this project around the end of January with GDevelop. I’ve never done a complete lil game but things seem to be doin’ great! It’s been quite fun actually.

I’ll take the time that will be needed to make this.
